Shoemaker
Millfield Theatre, N18 1PJ , [Venue Details]An explosive hip hop theatre experience combining electrifying dance, rap, and song!
Shoemaker reimagines The Elves and the Shoemaker as a modern family struggling to save their shoe-making business. At its heart is the youngest son, recently diagnosed with ADHD, torn between his vibrant imagination and the demands of factory life. Through powerful movement, music, storytelling and animation, Shoemaker explores neurodiversity, identity, and the challenges of family life.
“But Shoemaker is more than just a performance—it’s an opportunity for personal growth. In partnership with Streetz Ahead, the production offers post-show wellbeing workshops for young audiences. These workshops create a safe, inclusive space for children to express and explore their mental health through art and animation, encouraging resilience, empathy, and a deeper understanding of their own identities.”
